Introducing a better way to moderate content: an option to disable comments on posts.
Comment threads are an excellent way to engage with your team and crowdsource ideas and feedback. Sometimes, moderators want to be able to shut down comments to:
- Stop comments from continuing on old, irrelevant content
- Stop additional answers to a question from appearing after the “correct” answer is given
- Disallow comments on a particular post when it’s created
The new disable comments feature allows admins and room owners to disable further comments on a post at any time.
How to Disable Comments
To disabled comments on a post, click on the More Options (…) button on the post and select Disable Comments.
Once comments are disabled on that posts, existing comments will still be visible, but users cannot create new comments on that post unless comments are re-enabled.
